Pete Talbot’s review published on Letterboxd:
I recently noticed that Filmstruck has a good handful of Jodorowsky's filmography on their site which was a good excuse to see this. I found the first half more interesting than the second, although the second half has concepts that are intriguing but not flushed out in a satisfying way. From the little from Jodorowsky that I have seen, he seems to be just a side step away from full-on comedy. This is shocking, grotesque, absurd and silly while being beautifully shot. I enjoy the smooth tracking shots, use of single point perspective, and color and focus are stunningly displayed. I got a little lost on some of the characters and had a little trouble sussing out the relationships they had with each other.
