I'm a sucker for old Hollywood, this also inspired me to watch Hail, Caesar just after in this La La Land weekend (Not to be confused with the hilarious Jiminy Glick in La La Wood). Anthony Hopkins has a difficult job playing such an odd character but Helen Mirren, Scarlett Johannson, Toni Collette, Jessica Biel, and James Darcy all transform into the real people of Hollywood history. Darcy especially plays it so well that it almost feels like the very odd real person Anthony Perkins stepped through a time machine to weird things up.
