Pete Talbot’s review published on Letterboxd:
Well done documentary that gives a good chunk of the context behind the Oklahoma City bombing. I was glad that it goes into depth about McVey's connections to the Branch Dividians in Waco and hate groups through trips to gun shows and reading the Turner Diaries.
The bombing happened when I was in middle school and I have distinct memories of the day it happened, learning about it in social studies class as a guidance counselor came in and said that something had just happened in Oklahoma City. I remember seeing the news during the manhunt for John Doe Number Two, who ended up not being a real person.
It would have been interesting if there could have been a context for the Atlanta Olympic Bombing that was just under a year before and was also case of domestic terrorism. That terrorist, Eric Rudolph had also bombed a few abortion clinics and was a fugitive, aided by people sympathetic to the anti-choice movement in the area and was not arrested for seven years.
