Pete Talbot’s review published on Letterboxd:
While the animation is a bit aged, the story is great. While it seems to be a standard "superheroes have been outlawed" story line, it turns into a story where a businessman is the villain when he is less regulated than the heroes. There are some pretty heavy, pretty weird messages in this about super people who are destined for greatness as well as weird undertones about married relationships. Every time I see this I seem to forget about at least one of the major set pieces and I get surprised that this is just a bit longer and more exciting that I expect. It would be nice to get cleaned up with some newer animation to look less like they belong in a Toys movie and more with Incredibles 2.
