Pete Talbot’s review published on Letterboxd:
Batman was kind of an annoying character in Lego Movie and he's pretty hard to like even in a lovable jerk way at the beginning of the movie, but this movie is paced so well and so imaginative that the movie becomes fun to watch. It kind of proves that these first two Lego movies kind of create their own genre of surreal fantasy with storytelling from a child's narrative, not a narrative solely aimed at children. There are so many jokes in this as well as jokes that are just references that the jokes that hit the best really create big laughs. By mixing genres and self-awareness, this is probably in the top batman movies ever, in the discussion with Batman Begins and The Dark Knight.
