Pete Talbot’s review published on Letterboxd:
I've always felt this is a rather faithful interpretation of the book it is based on. While the movie touches a bit more on life before everything went all bleak, and briefly shows some sort of event in the distance, the post-apocalyptic book skips past the apocalypse. The movie gives the harsh, barren visuals that the writing in the book conveys through an economy of words. Somehow I got out of this viewing without slipping into a depression, but I did come to my senses and decided maybe I wouldn't do a Cormac McCarthy marathon today with this, The Counselor and No Country For Old Men.
