Pete Talbot’s review published on Letterboxd:
I love this movie, I think it's very underrated in the MCU. It mixes so many genres: fantasy, sci-fi, superhero, action-comedy, spy movie and western. That should be too much of a mishmash of imagery and messages yet it comes together as a delightful superhero movie. It sews the seeds for the Thor: Dark World element of reconciling science and magical mythology without threatening to blow up the world.
This movie sets up a good template for MCU movies to be able to tell smaller stories with action and comedy. This movie should be recognized for the work of Don Payne who injected a unique style of comedy to the film but tragically died just a couple of years after release.
