Empty streets and moonlit houses, sleeping kiddies and total silence from everything save a few soft wind gusts. Jack-o-lanterns give pleasant season’s greetings that line across the block, cold pavements touched by warm, sinister glows. While the neighborhood is painted black, the edges of the world erased in a barren suburbia that thrives upon this night, folks cozy up by their fires and take in the October air, unaware of the stoic menace that lurks just a roof or two away. A hushed berserker in his natural habitat, in a one-sided battle with his invaders. He’s home. And he’s utterly pissed that you haven’t vacated. A
