PUNQ’s review published on Letterboxd:
The follow up of Penguin Pool Murder (1932) with Edna May Oliver & James Gleason as Inspector Hildegarde Withers & Oscar Piper. Better then the first one. A good old murder mystery where Oliver gets her chance to shine as the snoopy school teacher assisting the police. Her and Gleason have a good chemistry and it also helps that they have a bunch of very recognizable supporting actors to give us a familiar setting. The story is sometimes a little on the slow side with comedy taking up too much of the time compared to establishing the suspects, but it's a fun one.
