I watch movies.
It would be weird if I was on this site and I didn't.

    Surprisingly really enjoyed this one.
It was at its best when they let Raimi work his magic.
One of the best MCU movies since Ragnarok.

I don't think Canadian filmmaker Rob Jabbaz was out to reinvent the wheel. Just cover said wheel in as much crimson splatter as possible. He does just that in this Taiwan shot film. It harkens back to the kind of mean-spirited antics seen in the glory days of CATIII films. I give it credit, it's a fun ride, for someone else.
Here's the thing though and I admit, this is ALL me. I'm just so tired of these zombie/infected movies that it has become a bit of a chore to sit through them.

Wow, I don't even know what to say about The Blade other than I'm blown away. Tsui Hark takes The One-Armed Swordsman concept and makes it his own. Wonderfully dynamic and frenetic direction as one expects from Hark. The fights are off the hook, some really awesome and creative stuff going on here.
Loved every minute of it, big thanks to all that recommended me this film! In turn, I am recommending it to you!

Jimmy Wang Yu goes buck wild on some baddies from Japan after they kill his master and decimate the martial arts school. An ass whupping, eye gouging, blood spurting good time to be had by all. Wang Yu gets to keep both his arms for the entire runtime of the film, it's a Christmas miracle!
