shaking and crying because a movie called Cocaine Bear wasn't the pinnacle of cinema
Well, what I can say. Despite having good bits there and there, it definitely wasn't the most elegantly constructed cocaine-powered bear rampage you can imagine. Every attempt at emotional stakes felt completely pointless and the weak editing left Cocaine Bear without rhythm, making it merely limp from one scene to the next like some kind of animal who has been enjoying some sort of substances.
Not to say that all of it was directed badly (there were a few interesting camera angles!), but the movie lost me by the terrible finale, which was predictably shot at nighttime so that you couldn't even see anything. Honest to its title to the bitter end: there was a bear, the bear did fucking cocaine, and it was not called A Good Movie.
