It's impossible not to feel constantly blown away by how good the animation is; all the character work is in the body language, small gestures, and facial expressions of the intricate puppets. The fact that the screenplay is pretty much just a fast-paced collection of deranged episodes in which the protagonist (basically a mix between the Joker, Hannibal Lecter, and the kid from Home Alone) gets various animal people beaten up doesn't even matter. I have been thoroughly Renard-pilled.
