    Godzilla: King of the Monsters

    ★★

Sure there may be more monster attacks and fights but none of them compare to its predecessors (the few setpieces from the 2014 original, parts of Shin Godzilla or even the first act of the 1998 Emmerich movie) in scale or excitement, half this movie is focused on a large group of characters that you either don't care about or act stupid and the movie feels as long as it's two-hour and twelve minute length. ★★★

Visually beautiful and starts out interesting but the story is throttled by the substance and very underwhelming in provoking unease.

    Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters

    ★★

Good production values and decent idea soiled by a pretentiously cool attitude in an unfunny, unthrilling, uninteresting by-the-numbers horror comedy that hardly stirs up any emotion.
