Quinn Bailey’s review published on Letterboxd:
"When do you kids stop? You make this world lousy."
"We didn't make it, Doc."
Probably the best movie anyone is ever going to conceivably make.
(Side note: as much as my theater geek friends are gonna hate me for saying this, the movie of this is vastly better than the stage version. "Cool" and "Dear Officer Krupke" make vastly more sense in the narrative when switched with each other, Maria's solo ballet on the rooftop makes a more powerful and subtle contrast to the rumble than "I Feel Pretty", and more Anybodys is always a good thing. Also, and let's be totally honest here, that staging of "America" is probably the best performance that song will ever get.)
