Quintin 📽 Philipson’s review published on Letterboxd:
It's been a couple years since I have seen this film and I've been craving a rewatch for a few weeks now. It took a lot of convincing but my fiance finally agreed to watch this. She prefers modern romance or comedy films but fine, let's give this 1950s courtroom a chance.
When they pulled the knife out of the pocket and stab it into the table (the iconic moment shown on the poster), I heard an audible gasp beside me. We were only 15 minutes in and my fiance had her mouth wide open, leaning forward, and amazed at what was shown on screen.
This film is straight up amazing. I don't know a single person who isn't transfixed by the brilliant screenplay and acting. Big companies can spend all the money they want, they don't realize that all we really want is 12 white men in a room yelling about a knife.
