It seems like Adrien Brody isn't mentioned enough when discussing characters from the film, probably due to the Fiennes stealing every scene he's in. Brody is arguably the second best character in the film and easily Wes Anderson's best villain. It's an exceptional performance that finds its balance between intimidating and goofy which fits well in a Wes Anderson story. He's able to kill someone one scene and call someone a Fruit Loop the next without it once feeling unnatural to the story. An incredible villain that I find myself laughing at more and more on every viewing due to his antics.
I watched this on my birthday and it was absolutely wonderful. I might make this a birthday tradition!
