I’m terrified of the lion it’s not even funny I could hardly look at the screen whenever he was on especially when his mane was in ringlets like WTF why was that a decision that was made. anyway with this and doctor who family of blood a person could easily develop a fetish for scarecrows. I’m not admitting to something I’m just sayin

LMAO why do I like this more than the first matrix–

negative reviews for this film are actually unforgivable. the romance WORKS this time, yahya makes a better morpheus (I’m sorry), neo is less of a flat character he is much more loveable here, the music is great, the action is incredible, it’s a very visually pleasing movie and all the colours are AMAZING, and it’s just so incredibly smart in every way like the concept of the original matrix is…

    Full Metal Jacket

your sense of self in exchange for a sense of validity. an environment where no man can stray from the line placed in from of him, where everyone has to look and act and speak and behave the same. an environment where power complexes are rife, where one man is robbed of his moral compass completely because he is put in charge of turning fellow human beings into an army. always will follow other men eating up…

in my opinion this is easily better than the second one however there was a lot of action in the second half which was so boring and I desperately wanted it to end so I can give this 3 stars MAXIMUM. I will say this is the first of the films where the agent has felt like a legitimate threat to me

“we do only what we’re meant to do”
“then you are meant for one more thing… deletion”

actually such a good comeback lol

love or hate baz luhrmann’s directing style you surely can’t deny how impressive it is in terms of uniqueness and creativity. I was OBSESSED with the editing – I know it’s not everyone’s sort of thing but omg green screen overlaying stuff and split screens just get me going I stg. there were obviously some questionable choices with modern music and the pacing was extremely messy in parts but that’s mainly just in the first half. the second half was honestly perfect for me

  • American Psycho

    American Psycho

this is honestly one of the most embarrassing displays I have ever seen they should delete it ASAP before any more people see it. just an hour and a half of him eating in restaurants. I wanted more violence

    A Clockwork Orange

officially a comfort movie for me. kinda toxic that I’m using THIS for anxiety relief but it genuinely soothes the soul. the pure genius filmmaking, the mesmerising charm of malcolm mcdowell – I truly hang on his every word – the music making me feel like I’m in a different world, the dreamlike atmosphere of it all, the constant absurdity that makes one feel distanced from normal life. idk it’s just medicine to me.

    The Matrix

nothing is real we live in a simulation if everything around us is only visible and tangible as a result of the electrical impulses in our brain then reality can be whatever you want it to be if you wish for life to be a certain way it CAN be you just have to access a higher state of consciousness you have to free your mind and release all previous knowledge of how the universe works this is not science fiction this is real life baby!! only unrealistic thing was that romance. what was the need.

I don’t know enough about politics or the logistics of war to understand the majority of this in fact I don’t even know what a communist is and they used that word approximately 8 million times in this film but I still had a really good time watching it and dr. strangelove is such a fun antagonist

  • All About My Mother

    All About My Mother

this is the most confusing film I’ve watched today and I just watched 2001

the colours were very beautiful, it was a lovely thing to look at, but I didn’t have a clue what was going on, or who anyone was, at any point
