Theme: Musicals in honour of World Music Day, June 21st
Janelle Monae's self-described "emotion picture" presents a series of dystopian vignettes with themes of sexual liberation and authoritarianism, set to the tune of her genre-bending Grammy-nominated 2016 album of the same name. It is her third acting project after breaking into the film industry with her dazzling performance in Moonlight (2016).
