    Godzilla: King of the Monsters


    Edward's Godzilla was a grounded and realistic portrayal of giant monster carnage. Kong: Skull Island took the Monsterverse in a decidedly more stylish direction with its 70s post-Vietnam setting. Godzilla: King of the Monsters allows itself to embrace Godzilla's b-movie qualities to make an otherwise mediocre disaster thriller into an entertaining monster mash. I genuinely look forward to seeing Legendary's take on King Kong vs. Godzilla

    King Kong is my favourite movie of all time, yet until now, I'd never seen Son of Kong. Not sure why, but I had never sat down for the meager 68 minutes that this movie runs. Well, I finally did. Son of Kong was rushed into production after the success of King Kong, and it shows. The film is 30 minutes shorter than it's predecessor, and there's only about 25 minutes on Skull Island with the titular Little Kong. This…

The Rise of Skywalker is a direct sequel to The Force Awakens, in being a made-by-committee corporately-owned series of moving images that fails to have any real emotion or stakes.

    Knives Out is a damn smart whodunnit with a fantastic ensemble cast. It tries a little too hard to be relevant, and the humor can come off a little forced, but overall, this twisty Christie mystery is a hit.
