john cassavetes stars in this roger corman produced motorcycle gang flick. the movie was well shot, and cassavetes performance was decent, but the movie was just okay. it was kind of hard to buy cassavetes, with his short hairdo and cleanshaven face, as the leader of a gang of hardened bikers. especially with his long, flowing white scarf, flying cap and goggles. guy looked like he should have been taking on the red baron back in wwi. not a great movie, but it was okay

in the late sixties, sid, a hippie, fraternity pledge (is that even possible?) dies in a hazing ritual gone wrong. twenty years later, sid returns to take revenge on frat boys, sorority gals and pledges. this flick takes a while to take off, due to showing that whole bullshit fraternity lifestyle and the "hell week" hazing crap. once sid comes back, it starts to get interesting. i mean busting through a frat guy's stomach is one hell of a way to enter a scene. there are some cool death scenes, and the practical effects are decent. overall, this flick is okay

rewatched this to show the kid "a classic." she didn't really dig it. i thought it was still pretty good. faye dunaway is absolutely stunning. the lady was a knockout. i had forgotten how graphic the violence was in this, especially by 1967 mainstream cinema standards. shit was pretty bloody. i'm pretty sure coppola was influenced by that end sequence when he was shooting the tollbooth scene in "the godfather", but i might be wrong. overall, a decent flick

this movie fucking owns! i've been waiting to watch this for awhile, and it doesn't disappoint. the gore and practical effects are amazing! the storyline is pretty ridiculous, but i totally dig it. there were some interesting directions the filmmakers went with in this flick. i always enjoy the whole horror picture within the horror picture approach. that scene with movie theater dirt biking going on, while a samurai sword is being brandished and '80s metal is rocking, is quite…
