Glass Onion is one of those movies that feel too good to be true. An intelligently constructed script, masterfully shot & directed, brought to life against a visual backdrop that can only be described as eye candy by a league of world-class actors.
Nothing one could wish for more (other than maybe a slightly more satisfying ending).
Netflix seems to finally have cracked the formula for a perfect film. Absolutely marvelous.

If there ever was a movie to sport the slightly dated description ‘tour de force’, it’s ATHENA. Insane tracking shots and long-take cinematography framing all hell breaking loose as the district of Athena blows up in violence and pyros. All of it in service of housing a well paced, intense story about 4 brothers dealing with the anger of loosing their youngest sibling in their own different ways. A very impressive film.

F**k you, Sony Pictures Classics, for not putting a disclaimer in front of this film warning about the smoking crater these 97 minutes will leave in your devastated soul.

An absolutely wonderful film. Tom Ford’s directing is deliberate and conscious. Every shot is carefully composed and ties in seamlessly with the overall tone, feel and structure of the whole.
Aesthetic value side, Tom Ford gives us a proud yet gentle film. Through the eyes of its main character, we are confronted with the bigger questions in life and thrown into emotional and intellectual twilight oscillating between bitterness and bliss.
Rarely has cinema seen a directional debut this mature and artistically confident as this.
