This show (that hasn’t made it past one season) feels like a draft to something better, something more refined, something that is a draft of the draft after the next draft. Like a first draft to Fleabag at times which is the far, far, far superior show, of course.
Meanwhile Crashing seems stuck on remaining an outline full of unmotivated krass humor, irrational character arcs and pointlessly fast-escalating situations. Did like it a bit less than I hoped.

    Mindblowingly original, creative and thought-through.

    A must-watch in 2021.

F**k you, Sony Pictures Classics, for not putting a disclaimer in front of this film warning about the smoking crater these 97 minutes will leave in your devastated soul.

An absolutely wonderful film. Tom Ford’s directing is deliberate and conscious. Every shot is carefully composed and ties in seamlessly with the overall tone, feel and structure of the whole.
Aesthetic value side, Tom Ford gives us a proud yet gentle film. Through the eyes of its main character, we are confronted with the bigger questions in life and thrown into emotional and intellectual twilight oscillating between bitterness and bliss.
Rarely has cinema seen a directional debut this mature and artistically confident as this.
