The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King

This is just one 12 hour film. Anyone who says otherwise is plain wrong. LOTR is so timeless. From the music to the direction, none of it feels constrained to the early 2000's. The CGI holds up almost entirely too. I can see people watching this for the next few hundred years if possible. This deserved every damn oscar it won, all eleven of them.

  • Life Is Beautiful

    Life Is Beautiful

What a film! Even though he was somewhat fictional, Guido is the greatest father and husband to have ever walked the planet. This is one of the funniest and saddest movies I have ever watched. Impeccable.

  • Incendies

1+1 = A horrifying gasp so abrupt and loud that it's basically a jumpscare.

  • Paris, Texas

    Paris, Texas

Paris, Texas is a cinematic gem. It's a perfect mixture of stunning visuals, evocative music, and outstanding performances. It's one of those movies that stays with you long after you've seen it. The monologue scene of Harry Dean Stanton talking in the two-way mirror with the slow push into Nastassja Kinski is one of my favorite scenes ever. Incredibly well made film. Truly a masterpiece.

  • Everything Everywhere All at Once

    Everything Everywhere All at Once

This is a movie about taxes and laundry and martial arts and bagels and butt plugs and raccoon chefs and it fucking rules!!!

  • Monsters, Inc.

    Monsters, Inc.

apparently i've never actually seen this movie in its entirety. it's so good. no i didn't almost cry at the ending, what are you talking about...

  • Toy Story 3

    Toy Story 3

i've been binging these, and i'm enjoying the hell out of them!

  • Toy Story 2

    Toy Story 2

the cleaning of woody is possibly the most satisfying thing i’ve seen in animation

  • Toy Story

    Toy Story

It wouldn’t be uncultured or assumptive to say that "Toy Story" is one of the greatest animated films of all time.

  • Up

The scene where Carl defeatedly opens up the adventure book with his wife thinking he failed her, only to see that she put photos of their life together in there, is one of the best scenes of the movie, on par with the opening montage.

  • Ratatouille

I swear Ratatouille is one of the most calming animated movies ever made.

  • WALL·E

It's fucking crazy how this romance between two robots is more emotional than 99% of actual romance movies. This movie is a masterpiece, and that's a fact
