Movies are fun and great 😊
Little brother: we did it cause your password was obvious!
Sister: How dare you!!
Mom; he’s grounded for a month
Mom; but I saw you called someone a bitch on your profile
Sister: why not? They leaked my info.
Mom: but we don’t call people names. Give me your laptop.
The amount of contradictions in each scene in regards to how characters react to bullying is a damn drinking game.
Movies like this is why it is hard to trust white people! Y’all are absolutely scary mf’s! Between this and Get Out, y’all don’t need to go to church. Y’all need an exorcism. I don’t know if I could bear being around y’all if it is gonna be like this. Might make my head hurt. The perfect example of how a good cry can work when you have a support system that cries with you. A terrifying prequel to Black Widow. Natasha really needs to check on her sister.
Happy late summer solstice!
This has some nice moments that had some strong untapped potential, but the rest of it can fuck off. Well intended, but hell no. Exploits the actual bodies on screen to make a point that was made very early on. The way people praise this is why we have not made any progress yet with this issue. There is nothing eye opening here. No new forms of micro aggressions or how black people each day navigate different forms of whitesplaining…
Everything wrong with this is everything wrong with what men are taught about relationships and masculinity in the world. I say that because it was trending in the top 10 on Netflix for so long in the US. Not a US made product, but a lot to be said about the harmful masculine displays on screen.
