I was nostalgia-baited but I really loved this movie. It captured the charm of the games. I loved the music. There was payoffs to emotional beats! Bowser sings!!

I kept turning this on for 20 minute chunks just to get through it.
If the characters (well, JD mostly) weren’t so bad and awful, there might be something good here. But, JD is such a sanctimonious piece of crap and this movie stacks up his Republican monologues with absolutely no subtlety.
