Randal Silvey’s review published on Letterboxd:
It's fine but I kind of hated it. The core premise is the whole thing. While there are a few interesting or entertaining ideas and some nice performances, it's otherwise all about the one central idea.
I believe the filmmakers accomplished what they had set out to accomplish because I found this to be an infuriatingly frustrating watch. The satire doesn't add enough interest or humor to justify sitting through the utter stupidity of their fictional world when we all get to enjoy the same utter stupidity of the real world every day.
I'm not a "movies are just for escapism" person, either. It just had me feeling like, "Yeah, we know. Use this commentary to say something profound, tell an intriguing story, or make me laugh. Otherwise, fuck off."
