I like Terrence Malick, I'm even one of the few people who really liked To the Wonder...but this film is a mess. With his film Malick often has something soulful to say...with the film he has nothing at all. I don't know if he just forgot how to say what he wanted to say of had nothing to say at all but this film is empty. All his other films have been soulful but this film is soulless, over long and was just a waste of my time. I was so bored watching this film, even Emmanuel Lubezki's felt off. There are some cool moments that are almost Lynchian but nothing can really save this film from being a boring slog with no soul.
