Lance Riddick in the third act is so amazing. His reaction when he first enters the maze. The man gives his all regardless the role.
Snipes is having so much fun and his character teeters being cartoonish but never fully goes too far. Could be a sleeper for Stallone’s best action flick sans First Blood and his abilities are used properly here instead of making him do too much dramatic heavy lifting.
The script is surprisingly witty and the 90s jabs are pretty comical especially the jab at Arnold and the whole Taco Bell bit. Exciting to revisit and see Bullock right on the brink…
Not Spikes best but it’s timing of release couldn’t be any better or more important and the closing moments really struck a current tone. Lindo will most likely have locked in a best supporting actor nom if the awards go down this year and its always a pleasure seeing a character actor get there time to shine.
