    Netflix Originals (2018) #9

For someone who usually tries to act the hardest he can, Leto appears totally satisfied to coast on a single vacant stare for the entirety of this performance. His character never emotes, rarely speaks, and communicates effectively nothing about himself throughout the too-long two-hour duration of this film. (My best guess is that he's trying for an Alain Delon-type of stoic protagonist, to absolutely zero success.) Honestly, it's a good match for a gaijin-made yakuza film…

Is this the HOCUS POCUS of the Christmas season? Because it's utter garbage.

  • Batman & Robin

Official entry into the So Bad It's Good canon.

  • Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones

Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones

    ★½

Here we have it: the true low point of the Star Wars franchise.

It's difficult to assess which aspect of this film makes it the worst entry in the series. Episode II takes many of the failings of its predecessor and several times over. The focus on inter-galactic politics has somehow become even more convoluted, to the point that motivations for any group or individual are near impossible to follow. Our characters have somehow lost what little personality they possessed…

  • Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection 'F'

    Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection 'F'

    Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection 'Fanservice'

Dumb even by its own standards, this pointless venture manages a couple of laughs, some decent animation (when not awkwardly transitioning to shitty CG) and not much else. Whatever fresh breath BATTLE OF THE GODS managed to bestow in the DBZ franchise has been squandered in favor of a cheap cash-grab. Even Dragon Ball Z deserves better than this.

  • Kingsman: The Secret Service

    Kingsman: The Secret Service

    ★½

Thoroughly unpleasant, ugly, and surprisingly unfun. One of the biggest disappointments of 2015.
