Sisters ★★★★

At the time with an initial career consisting of comedies, De Palma makes the first of its many films where he would play with the influences and homages to all that influenced him as a filmmaker. Here in this expert thriller from an erotic tone on Hitchcock's style, with references ranging from "Rear Window" to "Vertigo" and a macabre bloody tone invoking the Giallo from his contemporary (and also a Hitchcock fan) Dario Argento. Only an excellent hint of a genius at is birth!
