🏳️🌈 Ryan 🏳️🌈’s review published on Letterboxd:
I “””watched””” this a long time ago but I really wasn’t paying attention, so I’ll count this as my first viewing.
I’m normally allergic to these types of impenetrably British period movies (with the exception of The Favourite of course), but this one has a level of charm to it that I typically can’t find in these types of films. It’s still too long for its own good, and it takes until about the 80 minute mark for something to actually happen, but it’s still enjoyable, and easily has one of the best casts of the 21st century.
Not what I’d recommend to sell someone on Altman, but it’s solid.
