Moxie ★★½

It's weird how much this has going on narratively but how stale it's thematically. Poehler tries to bring this school and the women in it alive but only piques our interest with certain topics and characters; never giving us any depth to them. I kinda like how they're all together in that sense but the truth is that feminism is much more complex than that. This is where the film falls short. But I guess it ultimately doesn't try to be something insanely insightful which makes the message loud but rather uninteresting.

There are moments of sweetness and empowerment with a bit of humor as well and as I said it has a lot going on so it's never boring. Little ridiculous maybe but that's fine. I wrote down more notes but to me Moxie just isn't worth talking about in-depth.
