Slalom manages the balance between sports-movie and uncomfortable predator-study quite well. you get all the typical traits (coach yelling at athletes, athletes lashing out and partying). but what ruined the vibe completely for me where the intimate scenes. it's rape after all and they were filmed in a way which suggested otherwise.
the troubled relationship between Lyz and her mother gives the youngster a motive to look for comfort and love in her mentor. i do think that aspect is set up well..
Noée Abita shines in her role and we'll hopefully see a lot more of her in the future.
