I wanted to see this because it's a classic, but also so that I'd have a reference point for the episode of Always Sunny where Charlie does Serpico.
And honestly I feel like Pacino is just as much doing a silly Charlie overacting performance here as Charlie is doing a Pacino impression. There's literally a line where Pacino yells "I can shout anywhere!"
So it was fun to watch cause it's silly, but it's also pretty impossible to take seriously and gets very repetitive over its unnecessarily long runtime.
