Really interesting documentary on a silent film possibly made in 1897 that has screened a few times and drove it's audience crazy leading to fights, illness and death.

Possibly made by legendary filmmaker Georges Méliès or as the documentary claims, was made by Méliès protégé Victor Sicarius who allegedly had deep ties to the occult. Either way where ever it plays the crowd react in riots, then the film mysteriously disappears from the locations.

    The Ghost of Peter Sellers

Amazing documentary on the troubled production of Peter Medak's 'Ghosts in the Noonday Sun'.

Accounts the hell of the production as well as working with the great Peter Sellers whose genius mentality helped destroy the production.

Ranks up there with the other troubled film production films, 'Lost in La Mancha' from 2002, 'Hearts of Darkness: A Filmmaker’s Apocalypse' from 1991, and 'Lost Soul: The Doomed Journey of Richard Stanley’s ‘Island of Dr. Moreau'' from 2014.

Filmmakers attempt to create dreams. Sometimes they birth nightmares.

Highlights include Chico and Harpo exposing art collector Roscoe W. Chandler as a fish peddler, they also play an unusual game of Bridge with Margaret Dumont, Groucho dictates a letter to Zeppo, and the brothers play 'the Sherlock Holmes'…

I thought seeing the page number got me...

I'll always remember my feelings during that final shot.

    Blissful brilliance.

07/25/20 - Just adding here a day later. After a few other movies I've watched I'm still thinking about this film. I can't get it out of my mind. Signs of a great work of art.
