Robert Taylor’s review published on Letterboxd:
Rosemary's Baby on steroids. Anchored by the infallible Toni Collette, Hereditary works as a modern update to the Satanic horror films of the late 1960s and 1970s, while also making room to cover topics such as mental illness and familial loss. It's as thoughtful as it is terrifying, and there are images of horror here, both abstract and in your face, that I'm afraid are going to linger with me for quite a while. An absolute monster of a debut film from Ari Aster.
