Rick Dabagian’s review published on Letterboxd:
I guess I should have expected this, going from Charlotte Rampling and Tom Courtenay to a kid and a horse. Not even a great filmmaker like Andrew Haigh can elevate that to greatness. It's a fine film but not particularly interesting. It's a story about 15 year old Charlie and his struggles growing up with a poor single dad. He discovers a horse track near his home and decides to try and get a job working with horses.
It's a well made film but I couldn't connect with it
