Rick Dabagian’s review published on Letterboxd :
There's something special here, but it's bogged down by some of the more traditional noir tropes. At worst, it's a warm up for The Third Man. At best, it's an ambitious take on film noir for 1947.
Robert Newton's Lukey is flat out incredible and is reason enough to watch Odd Man Out. I was getting a little bored until he and Shell showed up. But that last ~quarter of the film is great, and what an ending.
