Ryan Daniel’s review published on Letterboxd:
“It’s not that I don’t like it, I’m physically repulsed.”
I watched this back when it first came out, but it was my first Wes Anderson film, and I just didn’t get it. But after watching more of his movies, I knew I was gonna like it once I came back to it.
As it is for most people, this is probably my favorite Wes Anderson film. It has all the quirkiness that his films posses, but it’s also a really smooth, engaging and fun story. The cast and acting are also awesome and the music compliments the film very well. I’m disappointed it took me so long to finally come back to, but I’m glad I did.
The ski chase scene is my favorite thing Wes Anderson has ever done.
