The Russless Horseman’s review published on Letterboxd:
If I were to write a review of this that went in-depth, I’m not sure I’d actually ever stop writing. I’d just sit at a keyboard typing away until my fingers fell off or I died, whichever came first. For the sake of trying to keep that from happening, I’ll just boil down my thoughts to these:
An incredible and humongous team of amazing artists took a superhero origin story, something that’s been DONE. TO. DEATH, and found fresh new ground to break.
It’s Best Picture worthy.
No, I’m not kidding.
One of the most visually inventive and gorgeous uses of animation I’ve ever seen, with an amazing, spectacular, and friendly story just to make real frickin’ sure you don’t ever forget it. It’s the best “Spider-Man” movie we’ve had since “Spider-Man 2” and arguably the best superhero movie we’ve had since “The Incredibles”. An absolute blast.
Also, maybe the best post-credits scene of all time.
