This is one of the most fun and ridiculous pieces of 80s entertainment I’ve ever seen. It’s got everything: John Stamos, Vanity, amazingly horrible exposition, a 90 minute runtime, an opening credits gymnastics montage, Mad Max-style action sequences (A CAR GOES UNDER AN 18-WHEELER during a motorcycle/car chase), a sax-heavy cheese-ball sex scene, Robert England as an Igor-like evil scientist, insane death scenes and blood squibs, a spy/Bond-like subplot, rocket launchers, one-liners, and GENE SIMMONS FROM KISS PLAYING A JOKER-MEETS-FRANK FURTER EVIL VILLAIN OVERLORD.

WHAT MORE CAN YOU WANT?!!! I applaud the balls on the entire creative team for deciding this was a good idea.

A brutal watch - in *mostly* a good way. Tom Holland’s powerful performance leads a fantastic ensemble cast, with equally mesmerizing performances. Pattinson, Stan, Skarsgård, & Scanlen are highlights - as always.

The story leaks with dread from the first frame till the credits roll. It does get overly odd & ridiculous at times and the 2nd act drags on too long, but the convergence of subplots in the 3rd act was well handled & dare I say fairly satisfying - even if…

VERY COOL. As a massive fan of Jeff Nichols’ work on Mud, I’ve been needing to get to work on other films in his filmography. This was SO GOOD. Had no idea that this had such an impressive cast, and they really delivered. Shannon, Edgerton, Lieberher, Driver, and Dunst are all top-notch. It’s shot beautifully - especially in the third act. WOW. Those particular shots were stunning and really caught me off-guard. The VFX work is spectacular for a film…

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

I’ve changed my tune quite a bit. A second viewing of this epic piece of cinema is mandatory. If you liked it but you were confused with the bombardment of information the first time around (like me), I highly recommend going back.

NEIL is the key to everything, and his character is by far the most intriguing figure in the story. Just look at the word TENET. N - Neil - is at its center. Not sure if that’s intentional...but…
