please believe the hype, this is a masterclass in filmmaking. so extremely visceral and unadulteratedly real, to the point where i cried at multiple points out of sheer beauty and power. so much happening - class fantasizism, technology barriers, liberation of lower class... it was perfect. words fail me. truly. i could go on for hours, once this film actually sets in.
films like parasite make me proud to want to make movies for the rest of my life. not that i’ll ever touch this in my career, but maybe, if i try hard enough, i can get even a fraction of the way close.
