Kind of a mess, to be honest.
With the story they have, they make 1 incredibly solid initial episode, an OK second episode and the last two are kind of tabloid fodder that goes precisely nowhere.
It's one of the weaker Serial-lites released in the last couple of years, which is perhaps saying something since Serial itself is a bit of a mess after the halfway point.
There's an old writing axiom about "showing vs. telling" that seems particularly relevant here. The documentary goes out of its way to keep telling us that all of the people involved are geniuses but never actually manages to show us that at all. Such geniuses, telling everyone their crimes and getting caught within a decade. Such genius.
