    An entertaining expansion of The Shining’s mythos. It was awesome to see so many iconic shots from the original film painstakingly recreated and repurposed for this film. It really rewards fans of the original by crafting a world around The Overlook Hotel that is both endearing and terrifying in only the way that Stephen King could imagine. I would recommend Doctor Sleep to both die-hard and casual fans of the first movie because an encyclopedic knowledge of it isn’t required to enjoy this great follow-up. 7/10.
