Good Time

Good Time ★★★★½

One of the best marathons of bad decision making outside of a cheap 80s slasher film.

Pattinson is having a helluva year between his stellar turn in Lost City of Z(ed) and this feverishly satirical character piece. Kudos to co-director Ben Safdie for portraying Connie's brother Nick Nikas as honestly and solidly as he did. Confused and beaten down, he has nowhere to turn after Connie boosts him out of therapy, and it only gets worse from there. The color palette is completely bananas as the fuzziness intertwines with the Run All Night-esque narrative. One guy can earn your trust and proceed to abuse it to his heart's content, all on charisma alone, until there's nowhere left to run.

Good Time: A Great Time at the movies.
