Slightly better than Hereditary and a MUCH better ending. Drama can overpower horror at times though which is what Hereditary also suffered from. I'll keep an eye out on what Aster is doing next and hoping he makes the horror elements a bit stronger for whatever comes.

Every performance in this movie is bizarre in some way, including The Cage himself, who plays a guy with a very flexible personality to say the least. There's a drugged and and distorted feeling to the music (R.I.P. Jóhann Jóhannsson), character performances, and the visuals that explains the outlandish energy it exerts. Sometimes it was so distorted I couldn't tell if it was intentional or the quality of the A/V was fucked, it was like the movie itself peaked at…
