This film is a perfect example of Confirmation Bias (the tendency to interpret new evidence as confirmation of one's existing beliefs or theories):
- The FBI and Media believing this man was guilty.
- Eastwood believing that the Media and FBI can never be trusted.
- Myself dismissing this film angry that old man Eastwood and his empty chair would present this at a time when the media and FBI are being cast as enemies and liars on a daily basis by a lying president.
Paul Walter Hauser was great, though!
PS: did everyone notice at the end as the FBI return Mama Boucher's boxes of things that they all walked into the kitchen???
