Chris Allen’s review published on Letterboxd:
I love Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. There is so much perfection in this perfect film. Here are a few of the best examples:
• Taking a character who has been singular in at least six (at the time) films and bringing to life the phrase "Anyone can wear the mask."
• The animated concept of the Spider-Verse's effect on the reality of Miles' universe
• Kingpin finally represented as the literal larger-than-life character he is
• The family dynamic of the Morales' (including Uncle Aaron)
• Miles' Air Jordans
I love this film. It's rare to take a concept used so often and over many, many years and create something so new, so fresh, so funny, and so poignant.
Did I already say I love this film?
