Fun, but another effects-driven retread of T2.
And oh, the balls they had to pull an Alien3 in the intro! Coupled with the fantastic de-aging effect made me want to watch THAT story unfold over the next 2 hours.
Now that I think about it, if The Terminator (1984) was a horror film, and Terminator 2: Judgement Day was an action film, then why not mix things up and make Terminator: Dark Fate a romantic comedy?!
Follow the T-800 as it walks into the ocean, with no more purpose, and how he then grows a conscience, finds love, has a family, and becomes Big Carl.
Maybe throw in a few fights around the globe with subsequent Terminator arrivals through the time-stream, and you've got $$$ in the bank!
