  I hoped the tweets I read about Eli's passing were fake or simply a misunderstanding.
  I never really interacted with Eli apart from liking eachother's diary entries/reviews, but somehow it felt like the passing of someone close.
  I always enjoyed reading his reviews after logging anything on the diary, and also discovered a lot of films and filmmakers thanks to him, films that otherwise I wouldn't have ever known about.

  you'll be with us forever through your films. rest in peace, eli.
