Reelz’s review published on Letterboxd:
The scenes without dialogue are amazing and are a visual spectacle to look at. Accompanying these amazing scenes is amazing music. The dialogue filled scenes are still great, though not as great as the non-dialogue scenes. If Kubrick just composed 2001 out of non-dialogue scenes, It would be a sight to marvel at. I could watch the opening credits scene about 2,001 times and never get tired of watching it. I could also watch the first scene that Kubrick shows us outer space about 2,001 times and never get tired of watching it either. People are turned off by the slow pacing like a disgusting prostitute and I can see why, but I can't help but love this film for really redefining the sci-fi genre for its time. It may be weird, sure, but so is a unicorn. 2001 is as weird, and cool, as a unicorn.
